This Privacy Policy explains how Pipcade ("we", "us") handles information in the 2048 game, available on the web at pipcade.com/2048 and as a mobile app.
2048 does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for personal details to play. Your game progress (such as the current board and your best score) is stored locally on your device by default and is not sent to us.
2048 offers an optional global leaderboard. If you choose to submit a score, the nickname you type and your score are sent to and stored on our servers so we can display the ranking. The nickname is a freeform, anonymous label you pick — it does not need to be your real name. If you don't submit a score, nothing is sent to the leaderboard.
The 2048 mobile app uses Google AdMob to show ads (banner, interstitial, and rewarded). To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect and use device identifiers — including the advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS) — and app usage data, in line with Google's Privacy Policy. On the web, ads may be served by Google AdSense using advertising cookies.
Where personalized ads use tracking, we ask for your permission first:
• In the European Economic Area and UK, we show a Google-certified consent
form (via Google's User Messaging Platform) before ads load. You can choose whether to allow
personalized ads; if you decline, you still see non-personalized ads.
• On iOS, the system App Tracking Transparency prompt asks whether the app may
track you. If you decline, ads are not personalized using the advertising identifier.
You can change your choice at any time in your device settings, and opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings.
2048 is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Where required, ad partners are configured to serve only non-personalized ads to audiences that may include children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the date above.
